I'm sorry, I know that an awful lot of people enjoy them, and many, many, companies and individuals make some kind of living because of them, but I'm done with 'Social Media' platforms. I've not been active on the whole Meta ecosystem for a long time and I haven't used Twitter/X (whatever) for a good few years now. I've more recently had an account (in fact, several) on Bluesky, and have even built my own instance of Mastodon. I just find it all immensely tedious, I have nothing to sell, and nothing much to contribute to the political to and fro, or certainly nothing you'd repeat in front of your mother, well, not mine anyway. So, this is it, this is the whole thing, this blog.
Now I have to find a project for the VPS (Virtual Private Server) that I seem to be stuck with for a good few months yet. They saw me coming with that, but that's another story.
Maybe I'm just getting too old, and seeing the same old rubbish regurgitated, and the unnecessarily aggressive gender, neurodivergent, operating system, evil search companies discourse, is just driving me a bit nuts, or a bit more nuts (shrug). Just do it guys, be what you are, do what you do. There's a lot of people out there that are more than happy for you, until they are confronted by a constant stream of all this stuff. It's cool though okay, I am on your side, I'm just not on your team..
