Hello, I'm Gary, I live in Cornwall, almost at the very bottom of the United Kingdom, with my partner, and my rescue dog. We have four grown up children between us, and they are all out there in the world, doing their whole, busy, life thing, and we can't really complain despite our deep seated need to feed them, and gather their gossip a little more often. Life has been tricky, and in my early fifties I was formally diagnosed as both Neurodivergent, and in possession of a Severe Mental Illness (or Serious Mental Illness), or two. The specific names for these conditions are less relevant for the moment than the actual symptoms, functional impairments, and behaviours.
No doubt I will, or already have written about all this somewhere.
I'm a huge all round music fan, although my preferences steer more towards various forms of instrumental music from jazz, classical, progressive/space rock through to a lot of not necessarily modern, electronic music. I try to look after myself and be fit and healthy but it's not all that easy, as I frequently struggle to get out and about. When that happens I occupy myself by pottering around the house, it keeps me distracted and out of bother!
